ALS Sunrise Walk (Laura, Team Fam de Bresser) Fund

In December 2024 my mother (Gerry) is diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). ALS is a fatal muscle and nerve disease, which results in muscle control loss. The average life expectancy is 3 years. My mother is a very active person, who is slowly getting caught in her own body. In the past, she was running marathons and cycled a lot on the race bike or mountain bike. Unfortunately, this is not possible anymore, but to stay active she is now cycling on a duo bike or takes a walk when possible. That’s why we will participate in the ALS Sunrise walk. We will walk, to raise money for research of the fatal muscle disease ALS. My team will walk 15 km and together with thousands of people we will walk towards the sunrise.
