India’s second wave of COVID-19 has hit—claiming 1 death every 5 minutes. Hospitals are dreadfully full while oxygen and supplies are running extremely low. People are even dying in lines as they wait to see doctors. So far, less than 10% of its population have had the first dose of the vaccine and less than 2% are fully vaccinated. (Source: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-56907007). Moreover, due to Covid restrictions and lockdowns, having access to food and water has also been a challenge for some.
